Through which courier service did they send the passports? Did you send your documents before the Canada Post strike?

They requested my passport on Nov 4th. It was before the strike, so I directly used the shipping provided in the ais system. Just bring the piece of paper with barcode and passports to designated postal office to ship.

The tracking number I received today for passport returning to me is Purolator.

I have a silly question. For those who have received your passport back...do they also send a sealed packet with it that needs to be handed over to the immigration officer. I see mention of passports being returned...but no mention of any other documents. Was just wondering.

Yes, passport and package.
I’m expecting mine tomorrow

Hello guys. I have an upcoming immigrant visa interview at the US consulate in Montreal.

I just switched my delivery method from Canada Post location pick up to the BLS Brampton location (I would imagine that the delivery's done through Purolator). Is this reliable given the strike with Canada Post or should I just do premium delivery to my home address?

Yes that should be fine, I just recently changed my delivery to the BLS location from the Canada post

We received only passport and a page with instructions how to pay fee and no other documents. All documents are electronically available to CBP these days

Hi everybody, Does anyone know how I can find a congressman to contact for assistance with my case? My case has been under Administrative Processing (AP) for over six months with no updates, and I would like to reach out to a congressman who could help by contacting the Consulate to expedite the process.

Its been now 5 weeks since they have my passport and new medical. Last update on ceac is on Nov 19th and nothing after that. Did u guys reach out to consulate asking for an update after they have your passport and medical for such a long time? Im wondering if I should reach out to senator again asking for an update.

My fiancee’ submitted her passport & updated medical exam to the consulate on November 5th.  CEAC status changed to “Approved” today (11/29). I looked online & “Issued” should happen in 7-10 business days.  Fingers crossed!  Her original interview was January 23, 2023.  Received DS 5535 on February 14, 2023.

Hi @Ryan17 are you still waiting for "issued" status? my fiance is in the same boat with receiving "approved" status yesterday.

Mee too! Today marks the end of my six-week waiting period, and I am now entering my seventh week of waiting.
