Sent my passport, photos and new medical on October 30th which consulate confirmed receipt on Nov 15th. Received an email from them today asking to update the DS 260 form and email copy of the confirmation page. Wish they requested this at the time when they requested my passport and medical. 😑

I am so sorry this is happening. its beyond frustrating how they keep dropping the ball on these things. 👺

Has it been more than or close to a full year since your interview? Did you update or upload anything new to your NVC/DS260?

Congratulations, can we pick up passport in person instead of mailing option, did you request in person pick up of passport, or they just offer it to you.

There are specific scenarios where the consulate will reach out to the applicant and request if the applicant can pick up their passport by a certain date. This is mainly due to time restrictions on the medical/passport/police clearance. Ive seen on this forum happen more so when a medical is set to expire and the consulate is ready to issue the visa. -  Go to sundims profile/review the forum for specifics.

Applicants cannot request this and any attempt will be ignored by the consulate. Myself and others tried to set this up and were ignored.

I haven't seen any movement in terms of issuing visas since second part of this  October, not even news for unsolicited updates after the reception of passport and medical. Frustration goes on

I was just thinking about this, I haven’t seen anyone getting their passports back with visa since early November late October. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
A question for the members of the forum. My spouse attended the interview on March 15, 2024, at the Montreal consulate. We were asked to submit a DS5535 which we submitted immediately. We have got three unsolicited updates so far. Is this a good sign. The dates are about a month apart and on Mondays. Is there a pattern? Are we close to being asked to submit her passport?

Hi,

My spouse just got an email from the Monreal consulae requesting Passport, 2 passport photos and medical from the following address. Is that valid? We are so worried about scams.

We got 5 unsolicited updates in 3 weeks duration and received the request for medical and passport. The clearance was infact received on first update. Rest of the updates seemed to be related to internal review by consulate

Hi All,

Here is a good news. It might give everyone some hope.

My visa is issued on Nov 15th.

I haven't received any email regarding courier yet. Canada post strike might delay who knows.

I do not know how to request for other courier options. If anyone has any idea please let me know.
