There are several Canada Post options available. I used the one at Young & Bloor, for instance. That one was on their list of approved couriers.

Where did you find the list? On the AIS website, there are four Toronto addresses: two on King St, one on Adelaide, and one on Spadina.

Hi everyone I received an email to submit documents which I did was wondering how long it usually takes to get passport back I have a trip to Mexico next month not sure if I will get it back in time smh

How long ago since the Consulate received your passport, etc?

Depending on what day next month the trip is booked for, it’s possible you may not have it in hand in time.  Seems the Consulate has slowed down considerably with processing.  I know of at least three cases just recently cleared from AP who have been waiting 3 weeks.

In our case, on Sept 4 the medical was received, with the passport/RCMP/pics which we sent received by the Consulate on Sept 9.  Our status remains refused with a Sept 4 date

I hope you do also.  Just heard of a case given “Issued” status this morning 2 weeks and 4 days in after Consulate received passport.   Keeping fingers crossed for all waiting

Hello Everyone,

I have a question, when you apply for the notes/visa refusal records from the US consulate Montreal under FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) and receive a reply from FOIA office, does it triggers a case update date?

I doubt it

We got a status change on September 6th and an hour or two later we received the email requesting the passport and medical. They seem to be moving on Fridays. Hopefully, yours change to "issued" soon.

Looks like they’re taking their sweet sweet time.

We also received a status update today, but still says refused.

I also got an email response from them saying that it’s still pending officer review (we inquired 2 weeks ago on sept 03) thinking something was wrong.

Hello Everyone,
As we all know they reduced the pace for vetting cases recently. I think the reason for the EB-2 category is as they reached the yearly cap, they stopped background checks as well. So, if you are in the EB-2 category like me, there is no chance to receive an email from the consulate sooner than 1st of October (first day of fiscal year 2025). If you already had some updates recently but no contact from the consulate, don't worry about it, it might come in October.

I also received Sept 13 update. I am so excited to see the very first unsolicited update.

I really don't know what they are spending their time on,they declared that these categories are reached the limit number : visas EB 1,2,3,4,5, and  fiscal year for DVlottery winners also ends on September 30th,I noticed people with DS5535 (for DVLOTTERY)were completed before the fiscal year date, after this date winners become ineligible. It seems that they junp to the pile from time to time and treat 5 to 10 and they forget about it for a while.
