To those who have had to submitted second medicals: I completed mine last week but was told by the clinic that my case number has expired and they are waiting for the embassy to re-activate it in order to send in the results.  My interview was in April 2023.  Is this normal?  Does anyone know the turnaround time for the embassy getting it re-activated?

My husband's interview was also in April 2023 and we just recently submitted the second medical but we did not have this issue. He did his medical on July 16 and the doctor's office just confirmed it was sent to the embassy on July 27th. However I do think @LYV recently had a similar issue.

Hi everyone,

Last Thursday we got our first unsolicited update. This morning we received the email to send updated medical, ID photos, and passport! Interview date was Dec 13, 2023 and we received DS 5535.

Hope everyone hear the good news soon!

The consulate didn't ask us to update the DS260 form or send an updated police certificate. Do you happen to know why?

Congratulations!! 🥳 I would presume your police/criminal certificate has not expired (good for one year). Can’t speak as for the DS-260 though

Congrats! Do you mind sharing your DQ date, date you received the DS-5535, and when you returned it? I've added you to the tracker

As I understand it, DS-260 automatically re-opens after 1 year. Police Certificate is valid for 2 years.

Not request to update DS-260, since mine not reach 2-year expiring date yet.

Picked up my passport with visa in it today! The turnaround from sending it in (July 11) to actually having it in hand was just under 3 weeks. Hoping this means that they have figured out a quicker way now/are focusing more on Family visas!

I think I'm on the tracker already (one of the unknown lol).

DQ Date: Jul 10, 2023

Date I received the DS-5535: Dec 13, 2023 and returned it on the same day

Thanks for updating my TL on the tracker sheet!

Hi everyone,

I have been following this forum for a while and I am perplexed about any given info which makes me have no  plans for my future.

November 30th,2022 DQ

May 9th,2024 Medical Exam

May 22nd,2024 Interview ,and given 221g along DS5535.

May 30th, 2024, submitted DS5535

Since I have submitted additional forms, I witnessed about 6 unsolicited updates regarding my case status.

I don't have anything to do, but be hopeful 😭 😔.
