Congratulations!! that is a quick turnaround (hope for us all)! Usually, once the visa is stamped, they say you will receive the passport back in 14 days but it takes less than 14 days.

Thank you!

Hi all, I was asked to submit passport to MTL today.  My case has been in AP/ds5535 for about 2 months. Hopefully this gives you hope. Btw, a question about getting a stamp at MTL. How long does it take to get the passport back?

Yes .. much hope.  Congratulations on a very short wait for you!  It must not have been a complex situation in your case

That’s awesome! Any guesses on why you were given DS-5535 at your interview?

My country of birth, TAL major could be the reason. I have been checked 5 times before when applying for student and visitor visas

Congrats!

Since you had already gone thru the Resume and other background checks, Looks like State Dept did not have to do any further background check on you. This happened to another VJ member @ ALC last year. He went thru same SOA checks already few years ago and consulate granted him EB2 visa in 3 months.

The annotation "Clearance Received on <date>" on your visa will tell you if the state dept did clearance or not

There was no such annotation on his visa although consulate asked him for DS-5535 and Resume.

Question about “case created” dates. Our case was created (by NVC) on July 8th 2023. Will crossing a year mark on the case created date spark anything?

I heard that one year nothing, but after two year will expired. the case closed and  do again pettion from USCIS.

Seem to be getting some traction on my WOM filing... filed in early June, and received first unsolicited update on June 27th and the second one today (July 2nd). Hopefully they're working on it..

When did you file your WOM?

Good for you!  Congratulations 🎉  I was unable to find with a Google search.  I would ask others here who were recently approved, or email the consulate asking for this information .. which should’ve been supplied in the first place 🙄
