I've been tracking other people's cases for fun, and have seen approvals/issued visas this year.

and being that it’s only early March, the year’s still young

Please enter your information in the following spreadsheet for benefit of others once you are done with submitting DS-5535

I’ve been unsuccessful at this.  Appears will need to upload an app in order to add to it.  I had other pressing priorities today, but will attend to it ASAP

What ones have you seen? There have been people who have gotten through this year that I have seen, but they had been asked late last year for their passports and medical. From what I have seen no one has been asked for new medical/passport in many months.

Ok .. done minus the various column colors.  Don’t know what they mean, or how to add them

For what it's worth I'm sure it's not entirely linear. Just because my interview date is the farthest back doesn't mean others in this thread won't get asked for your medical in the meantime! It may depend in large part on whose desk we end up on. Not every officer is created equal.

After my interview, I followed the officer's instructions and sent my Canadian passport to the consulate. And after exchanging several emails, the consulate confirmed receipt of my passport by email. It has now been 4 months since the interview, and I need to travel for work and have an upcoming vacation.

I'm worried that requesting my passport might further delay the process.

Do you think I should apply for a temporary Canadian passport?

What are your thoughts?

There’s a lot of people from last year that have not updated the spreadsheet. I’m curious if they got approved and have just not come back or are they just waiting and we just haven’t heard from them.

If you were served with DS-5535, it is better to request consulate to return your passport. You may sent it back when the clearance is received. Passport is needed to stamp visa. Consulate may request you to do 2nd medical after six months.

Are February 2023 applicants in AP still waiting for clearance?!!!

Yep - had my interview in Feb 2023. To make matters even worse, I have not even had a case update since November 2023 (almost 4 months ago).

I sent another email today (my previous 3 received zero response), so I'm not expecting a response, but all I can do is hope at least one decent person looks at it and is kind enough to look into my file.

Honestly I've never felt so hopeless this entire process. From everything we've seen on here it seems like processing times are getting slower and nothing I have seen or read gives me any hope this process will speed up any time soon.

On Feb 21 I emailed the Consulate for “status”.  Today, I received the identical response given for the Congressional Inquiry made in early February.  It’s truly hopeless, disheartening and a waste of time and effort
