I posted last week about the SS card being issued and mailed but not delivered and having to resubmit the app. It's been a week, and we've not received the card which makes me paranoid because they seem to be issued the same or next day.

I talked with the SSA yesterday and she said that if we didn't receive the card this time, we'd have to make other arrangements because they wouldn't send it out again.

Now I'm thinking about the EAD and GC arriving in the mail at some point in the future which makes me REALLY nervous.

Let's say we have to have the SS card reissued. Would you think it'd be a good idea to get a PO Box and change my address with USCIS? Or will they not deliver to PO Boxes and this question is moot?

I live in a city in an apartment building and the mailbox is extremely unsecure althout our names are clearly on the box. Or would the best bet be to invest in a more secure box and give homeboy a little project to do while waiting for his stuff in the mail?

Mail gets misplaced all the time. if you think about the number of pieces of mail travelling around at all times, it is incredible to me that any of it gets anywhere it needs to be.

I wouldn't freak out just yet. Hopefully, it will show up soon.

I was thinking about my parents' address, but was iffy about changing my addy with USCIS...are they pretty good about getting that into their system and following through? And will they mail to a PO Box?

If so, I think that's my best bet.
