Birth Certification + Translation is not needed to file the i-129f.

I swear, this forum is full of all this additional non-sense.

If you think into the future, I-485 requires birth certificate. I-129F without Adjustment of Status is not really useful.

I'm flagging this so OP can prepare for the next steps, which is easier when beneficiary in their country of origin and can request / find / translate Birth Certificate.

Birth Certification + Translation is needed for the interview. Once your I-129F is approved you will receive a letter with instructions that will tell you exactly what you need. I also made sure I brought the same with me here to the US in case I need them again or in case USCIS loses documents (you never know). It's easier to obtain all that stuff in your own country than from the USA.

My fiance is Russian and she just received her visa to come to the United States. It took 8 months to do it along with having to get a Schengen visa to travel in Europe. If anyone has any questions I do consider myself pretty knowledgeable about the whole process. Feel free to ask. I know a similar form like this in Russia helped her.

one post along with one post quoting removed.

be aware that any links to external sites that provide immigration advice circumvent the "peer reviewed" feature of open forum posts on visa journey.  additionally, many of these youtube channels receive money for visits to their videos.

Yup, i-129F is more about the USC petitioner than it is about the foreign beneficiary
