Wrong documents submitted

Hello!

My partner and I completed getting our I-129f form today, and I happily went to the post office to ship it, however, despite reviewing it all a dozen time to ensure it was all in order, I realized I may have submitted the wrong decree of divorce. I have one that's the petition to file and one that is the approved, and I believe I sent the petition not the approved. USPS said they couldn't hand back the package even after only given it to them 5 minutes ago, and I fear this may cause more delay.

Should I just wait for their response to see if they want the correct document? Should I send out a second package today with just the correct decree and a cover letter explaining? Or send out a whole new thing with all the documents again?

I feel so silly for not seeing it earlier and wondering what the best course of action is?

I personally think you should wait and see if you get an RFE

since your case hasn't been processed by USCIS or anything yet, theres no case number to connect it to

so even if you did send it out it could just get lost and not get connected with your petition and youd end up with an RFE anyway.

sending out a whole new thing may just cause more confusion for USCIS.

honestly its going to be a long process no matter what

go to your county clerk's office, get an original copy, and mail it to USCIS...or wait for an RFE. but I myself would be pro-active
