I have a relative who applied for a B2 visit visa about a year ago. The interview is scheduled for December 2024.

Meanwhile she just got married to a US citizen this month.

Should we continue with the B2 visa or just cancel it and start the marriage visa process now?

That totally depends on what they want. If they just want to visit the US, continue with the B2 process. If they want to immigrate to the US, start the CR1 process.

She is planning to immigrate and will apply for the CR1 soon.

I'm just wondering if she can still get the B2 in the meantime or will it cause a problem.

I think it is unlikely that a B-2 will be approved, considering that she has a US Citizen spouse and plans to immigrate.
