I am in the process of changing mine and my wife's address through USCIS. I filled out form i-865 (Sponsor's change of address) and mailed it in today. It says my wife can either file an AR-11 (Alien's change of address) or change it online via the uscis account page. The account we already have under my email which we used to file the i-130 before moving here is what I was trying to use. When I click change my address my birthdate is written in and grayed out, unable to be changed to my wife's. Is this because the account is considered mine (the applicant and sponsor)?

Should we create a new account specifically for my wife for her to be able to change her address via the website?

For reference I did start the address change form using my name and birthday (not sure if it was in there automatically the first time, or if I typed it in) but once I realized my change of address needed to be done with form i-865 I backed out and did not submit the change. However now I am unable to enter my wife's birthdate. Wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience with possibly needing to have separate uscis accounts for the US Citizen and Immigrant for these kinds of online actions.

Thank you for you help!

She should create her own account and add her receipt numbers.

She can also do AR-11 online without creating an account

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

An immigrant needs their own account.

Technically, US citizen's petitions are I-130, I-864 and I-865.

Petitions such as I-485, I-131, I-765, I-751, I-90, N-400, AR-11 belong to an immigrant and require their own account.

Thank you!
