Hello!

My husband was deported in 2010 to Mexico. He went to apply for a visa in 2012 so, we had an approved I-130 and went through NVC process. They told him in juarez that he has a bar, come back in 2020. Ffwd to 2020, applied for 212 waiver. It was approved after 2 years. Got an answer to inquiry in2023 to go take medical exam, resubmit application and no interview needed to be scheduled. He went in 2023. He told them he smoked weed before in his life during the brutal psych exam, they said to do drug tests and AA for a year and come back. He did that. He then went to the consulate where they told him to DHL his passport and some document they gave him and he would get a response in 2-3 weeks. 2 weeks later, he gets an email to wait for an interview to be scheduled.......Im just curious after reading wait times of over a year, if we are looking at yet another year of waiting???? It's been 14 already. He's been to Juarez 2x in 15 months and if we wait another year, why would they make him do his medical exam that is only good for 6 mos?? Im confused and hoping he will get his interview soon and this process will be complete. Are we on the same 12 month plus timeline for an interview??? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows 💞
