Please I need helpful inputs, I became citizen couple years ago file for parents adjustment of status, after the interview my birth certificate was requested I sent in the old one I had from my home country years ago, I received a letter asking me to provide another birth certificate or attestation and must come from the government or recognized institution.

I'm confused why they asking for another birth certificate.

 

Questions:

1. Can I get the attestation of birth with affidavit by proxy?

2. If I send the attestation I hope it will not cause any form of stress or questioning with the previous one I sent since all information are the same no changes no alterations. 

3. Is it advisable to send both the old birth certificate I was using before that was rejected and the new attestation of birth.

Did you use this certificate before for your immigration?

Yes I used it for my immigration but they didn't look at it when I went for my interview. My birth certificate was misplaced so have been using the birth documents I got from the local government from my home country
