It has veen 2 months since NO1 and no chnage to staus. Im looking at the forums and not sure the next step. Some say to wait then one post from someone in phillipines posting in india sub. Said his lawyer said its a 1 year wait and if he should sheduale ds160. The comemnts told him yes.

So what exactly do I do now wait, or sheduale a DS160.

Also what does reciept notice mean. They opened the package but didnt check the applicatiin yet? Or are they currebtly reviewing it. Or is it a line of applicatiins waiting to be reviewed.

Your case is in a pile waiting to be reviewed.  Next notification will be an approval or an RFE.  Patience is a virtue in immigration.  You just have to wait.  You can't submit a DS-160 until the case arrives at NVC.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

The forum “Guide “

has the process step informations As well as the USCIS website , if you create you timeline you can also see similar timeline from others in your specific country, the USCIS is taking an average of 3 months to process the application, if no Request for Information then it is forwarded to the National Visa Center for creating the case number (upon issue of case number then form160 can be filled out) and setting up the consulate for the interview.  Hoping this helps.

Your petition hasn’t even been approved yet.   You’re very early in the process.
