What is your guys advice on how much evidence of ongoing relations should be included? I am following the guidelines and instructions on the VJ site, but when it comes to attaching phone bills, mine are most times over 60 pages long. About half of our communication is thru SMS. Should I make copies of all 60 pages or just pick 4 or 5 pages showing a range of dates out of each bill and put them in there?

Thanks all

Bob

Less is more. Evidence of ongoing relationship is not required with an I-129F submission. You'll need that at the interview. A few pages will be fine.

Bob,

When filing the I-129f - your evidence predominately revolves around having met in person within the past 2 years - not necessarily your on-going relationship which should help 'trim' your petition package.

Evidence of continued contact like phone bills are used later at the Visa interview.

Only a few emails showing that you can communicate if the language of the foreign country is not English, and perhaps a log of the emails is needed.

USCIS is more concerned with evidence of having met within the past 2 years, that is copies of airline tickets, passport pages showing entry and exit stamps, hotel bills, ATM receipts, travel itineraries.

Our I-129F petition contained.

5 photos of us together in different places, one with foreign family.

Copy of passport stamp pages, itinerary, and ticket stubs.

Copy of engagement ring receipt.

Copy of 5 emails, and email log.

Copy of chat log.

Copy of US birth cert.

2 G-325A 1 from US citizen, and 1 from foreign citizen

2 passport photos 1 US 1 Foreign

2 letter of intent to marry 1 US 1 Foreign.

Hi All,

R u guys talking about K1 visa or K3 visa. Do I need to worry about those evidence as i have file for K3?

Thanks

ASMO

Since the OP posted this in the K-1 forum the answers are K-1 related.

K-3 does not have the same "Having met in last 2 years" requirement, the K-3 is for spousal visa and are MARRIED already.

Your marriage certificate is required with a K3 filing. As such, proof of having met is not an issue. If you're married, you met.

When Danette and I filed 3 yrs ago, we included copies of selected pages of our phone bills and e-mails. We highlighted the calls to each other. The pages were chosen to encompass (ie: 1st that we talked to latest available) the current span of our relationship. It is believed by many that the larger packages seem to take a bit longer to be processed. While this has not exactly been proven, it does stand to reason somewhat. We had no problem with ours at that time. While these are not exactly specified in the instruction forms, I believe (some of the other older members here might either correct me or back me up on this) there have been a few who have recieved RFEs for not having such evidence included. They could have been from "high fraud" countries, I dont remember for sure.

You petition should similar to ours. I did follow the recommended way to put the packet together using ACCO fasteners and I also put in tab dividers between each section of documents. Good luck

Can someone post a picture of these ACCO fasteners?

I ended up using paperclips and rubber-banding the stack between cardboard so I could put it in a USPS tyvex envelope.

Google 'ACCO'?

Regarding the packet, less is more, BUT.....know your consulate.

While the petition requirement is proof of having met in the last two years, one will still need to satisfy the bonafides of the relationship at the consulate.

At 'high fraud consulates' at 'snapshot' of the relationship within the I129F file helps prep the mindset of the Consular Official prior to the interview.

If your beneficiary will process at one of these posts, a bit more care might be in order when putting together the relationship evidence.

I did - but it really only yielded binders etc. Is it the 2 hole metal strap at the top of the page faster?

Meaningless at this stage.

They only want evidence that you have actually met....face to face within the last two years.

This does not prove this nor will it do anything to get your petition approved.

It is not asked for, nor required. Dont bother.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Yup. It's actually two pieces. One goes under the papers - it has long tabs on each end that thread up through your paper-punched holes. The second top bar goes on top of your paper stack by sliding it over the long tabs of the lower bar - there are sliders on this bar that hold the tabs from the lower bar in place.

LOL - that's actually hard to explain in words................
