And where do your facts come from?

For example, your opinion / relation of crime to poverty is fact yet someone else disagreeing with that is wrong and generalizing.

Its simple. You look at the geographical areas with the most crime, then look up the average household income for those areas.

Then there's the evidence of your eyes. Gang crime doesn't take place in Beverly Hills, San Marino or Rodeo Drive, but drive to downtown LA, Compton, Watts or Inglewood (places where you can rent an apartment for $400-$500 a month) and guess what...

I live in an area with a moderate amount of gang activity and it's not so much Lexuses as burned out cars swiped from local lots. Which around here means a fair amount of late 90s-model Toyotas and Hondas and Escorts.

You meander between fact and opinion as if they are interchangeable. Facts by themselves are still open for interpretation and analysis. That's where you get tripped up, then you go off on these wild tangents based on anecdotal, second hand information.

Again - look at exactly where they live, what the average price of an apartment is there.

Then there's a side of the argument you've entirely missed - that those people come 'from' economically deprived backgrounds in the first place. Again how many gang members grow up in Beverly Hills, and how many come from places like Compton, Inglewood or Watts?

Hell yeah! Police patrol movie parking lots and shopping mall parking lots on the regular because of cars getting stolen and driven to Newark. They are stealing just what you said..hondas, toyotas...and most of them mid to late 90s models. I have a 96 toyota..and my car has a greater chance of getting stolen then a caddy..haha I will let boo yah think what ever he wants though.

Like #6 says, hey if i wanted low rent I could go to irvington...but I'd rather not run the risk of getting shot. It allll comes together now...doesn't it?

Strangely that was much the same in the UK - in certain low class council estates. Which (coincidentally of course) were plagued with the highest levels of crime.
