K1 Visa Interview appointment

Hi All

 

Did anyone had an experience where the interview appointment schedule is past the petition expiry date?  The closest date we found is 2 weeks after.  Interview schedule will be 12Sept vs petition expiry date 25Aug

our NOA2 expired on July 4th but my fiances interview was on July 9th.

The topic of it being expired didn't even come up and he was approved on the spot.

 

Most embassies will automatically extend a petition if it is still being pursued.

 

if you scheduled the interview before the NOA2 expired, but it is scheduled for after it is expired, you should be fine.

 

But you can always submit an inquiry to the embassy to confirm with them that your petition will be extended

Thanks Mallory. I called the embassy hotline and the person I talked to pointed me to the website which says the consulate can extend. I just want to verify here if someone had the same situation as mine
