Please i will be very grateful if i can get some up to date information in support of my visa.

I went for my K1 visa interview at US embassy in London on 12th January 2024. After the interview the CO handed me a green paper tick 221g Additional Adminstrative processing. Every other documents with her including my passport. She only returned the UK ACRO police report and the Nigeria Police report i submitted. On CEAC my status showed Refused, updated more than 5 times, the most recent was on 9th August, 2024 , still on Refused. And this recent update happenned after i sent email on 4th August 2024 to the consulate that is being over 6 months have not heard anything regarding my application.

I also received email from the consulate that state:

"Our records show that your case is pending for more proof of your relationship please submit as much of relevant evidence as you can. In addition, we are returning your passports as your case is under review"

I equally received a follow up email same day that state:

Please log into your user account at ais.usvisa-info.com and follow the system instruction to generate instructions on how to send Visa application documents to the US consulate.

Please could anyone let me know what this mean and what chance have i to get the visa issued.

What is your status in the UK?

On the day of my interview the CO did not ask for our letter of intent, did not asked me any question about proof of our relationship. Though i was with our whatsapp chats and call log i printed out, hotel receipts, flight tickets, cards, 2 full photo album and affidavit of support( Statement of fact) by our family in support of my application.

Submit more documents as requested.  They have doubts about your relationship for some reason so send whatever you can, to show time spent together in person, boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, a few photos, even records showing emails, text messages, and video calls between the two of you from the beginning of your relationship.  What did you submit with the original petition?  What documents did you take to the K-1 interview?  How long have you been in the relationship?  Age difference?

Did the CO or the 221g actually request any additional information?  A green 221g usually means AP which could mean many things, like additional background checks, or they are trying to get more information from your birth country (K1's seem to be quite difficult in many countries).

Hopefully it goes soon, but no one can actually predict how long it might last.  I have heard some lawyers talk a writ of mandamus for a case that has been sitting for more than six months, but that is completely up to you.

Good Luck!

Maybe post a copy of the 221g you received with personal information redacted (blacked out), so we can see what the CO asked for.

There it seems something they do not like, usually they just send it back.

How many times have you met and for how long?

My fiance is just 4 years older than me. We've known ourselves way back from childhood but started our relationship in 2016 till date. We were engaged in 2017, a year and half after we started our relationship. She has visited me in UK for more than 15 times between 2016 till date. Since 2019 we both travel to Lagos,Nigeria on holiday yearly atleast on each trip we spend 12 days to 20days. We equally went on holiday to Lisbon , Portugal in 2023 we spent 7 days. Each time she visit me in the Uk she stayed for minimum of 7 nights.

The 221g was given to me on 12th January 2024 and Additional Adminstrative processing was ticked by CO after my interview. She told me when we are done we will contact you. My ceac has been of Refused since then, updated about 6 times between my interview date and  9th August 2024 i received the email from the London consulate : "Our record show your case is pending for more proof of your relationship please submit as much of relevant evidence as you can. In addition we are returning your passport as your case is under review."

I got this email after 7 months i went for the K-1 visa interview.
