they asked for the I-134 when my fiance had his interview in july at frankfurt

they also wanted the W2 from my current job and the 3 years of tax return transcripts

they will ask for the I-134, you will have to bring it and the evidence.

thats really odd.

there are several sites that the officer may request the I-134. so i guess it is just officer discretion?

you could submit an inquiry to them to check if they were supposed to collect it.

but if they realize they did need it they may contact you to let you know that you need to send it to them

Thank you,

I think its because we had attached a lot of documents while filling,  so i will just wait for their response after the 10 working days maybe then i can reach out

Also i read somewhere that you can't be approved with missing documents.

It's normal. It's down to the officer to ask for it or not. Some don't

I assume its because they know you'll have the more rigorous and stricter Affidavit during the AoS process.

I am in the UK, and have seen dozens of people with the same question as you, and it's considered normal- some officers ask for it, others don't.

Just 2 days ago someone asked this on a UK Facebook k1 group, as they were waiting for medical results like you, and then yesterday they got approved. No i-134 requested or seen at all.

Thank you so much ,

You don't know how relieved I feel after reading ths .

Been sad since yesterday wondering what I did wrong, it's very confusing and especially if the officer said approved and asked you to go home and wait for your passport.

I have realised that we all have different experiences from each other based on:

the stage of the case

and where one is applying from

One should also be mentality stable, with strong shock absorbers to pull through with any US Visa 😁

You have to be patient as well because their timelines change all the time

The I 134 is a bit of a joke, I went through London and self sponsored  he may be glanced at my stuff for a couple of seconds and moved on.
