So I got a 221g because I took the wrong police certificate. So I was issued a white slip to submit my passport and the current police certificate. About last week, there was an update on the case on ceac tracker but still shows refused. Then the CGI portal went from "your passport is still with the US embassy" to "Document delivery information". This is the embassy in Lagos, does anyone have any experience. Is there anywhere else to get any info. I called the help desk and they just said it was under AP which is what I understand "refused" means anyway.

that is the "official" status right now of the case.

You should just wait it out and eventually it will update when there is a movement on the case.

Good luck

That's another term used for Administrative processing, your case is been reviewed being in refused status does not mean its denied

Sir , any update on your case? My friend in Pakistan going throw same issue. He was in AP to (Ds-5535), He so confused , there is almost no info available online for Pakistan. And funny thing is I am in AP too (Ds-5535), soon going to complete my 10th month in AP. This whole thing is turning into nightmare for me.

Is there any update on ceac portal ? Or is it still  refused and passport information blank ?

So since I posted this, my status has changed from "Refused" to "Ready". Now the confusing thing about the Ready status is, the description is ready for interview meanwhile I've done my interview. I've seen ppl go from Refused to Ready and eventually get their visas but it's just frustrating. It changed to Ready in September and last date update was Nov 6th and nothing since then.

"Ready" is good, and I have no idea about 2nd interview , maybe this "ready for interview" depends on your visa category or maybe its just the way of writing/describing description (just like "refused" status description). When was your interview ? AP some times take few months , If your interview was in July or August then that is quick AP clearance.

While searching on internet (one is on this forum), I , came to know few cases in Pakistan with Missing Documents AP , cleared in 4 to 5 months after submitting documents (not after interview),In one case embassy kept the passport in 2 other embassy return the passport and asked it back. Don't know deep details like  USTravelDocs status update or Ceac status update dates. Nobody shear this info, that is why so much confusion.

My guess is everyone go throw same procedure but for some this all happen very quickly and for some it takes time.

Please keep us updated. Thanks

Usually with a second interview, they'll have emailed or informed me. Like I said I've seen ppl with the Ready status that have gone on to receive their visa without additional interview. So like you said, Ready might mean something different during AP but still has the same description pre-interview. Anyway good luck to you.
