WooHoo!!! :dance::dance::dance:

At 6.15 this morning the lovely SMS chap handed me the wonderful black package with my passport and MBE. Wow that was fast!! I wonder what time they would have delivered if I had paid for the earliest delivery time.... :unsure:

And I have resisted all natural urges to open the envelope. It is sitting next to me in pristing condition.

I am a happy bunny this morning. :dance::dance::dance:

MBE? And why aren't you allowed to open it?! That must be so so frustrating ;)

MBE= Mysterious Brown Envelope. NOT TO BE OPENED. If you open it, you have to send it back to have it officially "resealed". There have been suggestions for the consulate to stamp a big red "DO NOT OPEN" on the front of the envelope, but apparently, they print only a tiny little warning on it that is often missed by the over-exuberant receiver. :P

Even people who KNOW about the MBE have found themselves sitting there, glassy eyed, staring blankly into the contents of the envelope they knew better than to open, but did anyway. Makes one wonder if there isn't some sort of wee device planted inside that lulls the receiver into a hazy stupor, subliminally telling them to "open... open the envelope...." in a last-ditch effort to stretch out the k-1 visa process as much as humanly possible. :lol:

CONGRATS ESS!!!!!

I put the MBE straight back into the plastic courier wrapper in order not to be fooled by that device inside. :lol: And then of course I locked it in a cupboard just to be sure I still couldn't get at it.....

Thank you everyone. I am still soooo happy, and now starting to get just a little panicky that we have to pack up EVERYTHING in the next two weeks...... "Visa worry" turns now to "packing fear"!! :help:

Thanks for everyone's support and patience. :D
