Hi! So I thought to reach out to our bank person to ask for the confirmation letter but he is extremely hard to deal with and frankly, has been rude towards my immigration status and even belittling before. He emailed us a confirmation letter in 2021 for AOS without issues. But now he wants me to come in, I am not available for that and I told him it's ok if he can't email it, we can skip this letter since I already have all the statements. Now he says he will email it but still needs to call me.

I do not want to deal with him, but phone is better than face-to-face interaction. I do want to include as many documents as possible but is this letter really necessary or bank statements are fine?

Stick with complete  joint account statements.  Statements are good because they show that the account is joint, but they also can show who utilized them and how the account was used.

Note:  I would find another bank.  I don't see any need to speak to the banker.

Thank you, Crazy cat!

Another thing is that although they're joint, only I use them and my husband likes to use his cards. But he is fully aware of what's happening, etc. So now I am thinking I will have to talk to that banker.

We do love the bank though, it is just that one person makes the whole experience unpleasant.

Do you both use the funds in that joint account?  I see no reason to speak with tat banker.

Thank you! Only I use the cards technically, but my husband pays off the credit card and sends money to the debit card.

I just realized that this might be an issue. But we do have joint tax returns, insurances, and of course leases.

I would just be ready to explain how you both contribute to the ordinary household expenses.

Thank you so much! You really eased my worries. I am writing a letter just to guide them through our relationship in addition to the main cover letter. I've been also looking for a job for quite some time, hopefully, that will not be an issue as well. But I will include the part about the joint accounts. Thanks again!

Quarterly statements. Don't send everything

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Just have your husband use his card a few times so both cards show up on the statement. This is a very easy fix. Absolutely do not call that banker or go in, you do not need a letter from the bank. In fact I would report this person to the bank.

Thanks! We will be submitting the documents in a week, so it's a bit too late for that. But I told him to start using it now in case we get RFE. I will attach transactions from his and mine cards from the same places now though, like the vet, grocery stores, etc.

Are the "cards" from the same bank account?

No, as I mentioned, he never actively used cards from our joint accounts. He has his own cards. But we do have transactions from the same places on his and mine cards.
