Many school districts have reported multiple problems with the safety and expense of the buses they’ve received, and these involve companies that have received hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and rebates through the EPA program Harris manages. These same companies have close ties to the Biden-Harris administration.

 

Michael Chamberlain, director of the government watchdog nonprofit Protect the Public’s Trust, has a word to describe what administration critics consider wasteful climate-agenda programs, many of which have turned into green energy boondoggles. He calls them “greendoggles.”

 

“This sort of thing is just emblematic of the entire way this green transition has been handled by the administration,” Chamberlain recently told Just the News.

Family Dollar has announced 677 store closings this year. Walgreens is closing 259. Big Lots is closing 360. LL Flooring is shutting down entirely.

Major retailers have announced 6,189 store closures so far this year, already outpacing last year's total of 5,553, according to Coresight Research. Chains are on track to close the highest number of stores in 2024 than any year since 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic decimated the industry.

Biden announces 10-year deadline to remove all lead pipes nationwide

Milwaukee, Wisconsin – President Biden on Tuesday announced $2.6 billion in funding to replace all lead pipes in the United States as part of a new EPA rule that will require lead pipes to be identified and replaced within 10 years using the new funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act. 
The EPA estimates that nine million homes in the U.S. still have lead pipes. The city of Milwaukee, where Mr. Biden is making the announcement, has 65,000 lead pipes, which the city says will cost an estimated $700 million to remove. 
The political focus on Wisconsin by Mr. Biden reflects the hopes that Democrats can hold on to the state that they flipped in 2020 by a slim margin after losing it in 2016.

Harris really does want illegal aliens voting

 

The Supreme Court on Wednesday stepped in to prevent a group of known illegal aliens from voting next Tuesday.  The commonwealth of Virginia filed an emergency appeal after being chastised by a federal judge for taking the names of 1,600 self-identified illegal aliens off the list of registered voters.  The case is now on hold and will be resolved after the election.

"It should never be illegal to remove an illegal voter," Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares said in a statement after the lower court's ruling.  "Yet, today a court — urged by the Biden-Harris Department of Justice — ordered Virginia to put the names of non-citizens back on the voter rolls, mere days before a presidential election."  [...]
