I34 Form - Supporting Evidence Query

Hi all,

I was just wondering what supporting evidence people decided to take along with them to their visa interview?

I’ve seen online that bank statements, employer letter, W2, Tax Return, pay stubs, evidence of assets, etc all mentioned. Is there anything else that I need to obtain? Do I need to provide any financial supporting evidence for myself?

Just want to make sure so I can get all the supporting evidence together and ready for my visa interview that’s all.

Hope you can help!

I self sponsored so I took all my financial stuff and a selection of photos, he did ask for one so that was worthwhile.

Otherwise the I 134 from your petitioner.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

We are planning to only provide evidence that I, the petitioner, can support my fiance. My income is safely above the threshold, so I don't think we plan to take anything to show liquid assets to support.

I have my IRS tax transcripts for the past three years, a letter signed and dated by my employer showing continued employment, and I will send recent paystubs. This will all be with the I-134 that I will sign and scan to him to take to the interview.

Someone had posted a copy of the London Embassy letter where they asked for the I-134 and tax returns.

Are you putting any of your finances assets/savings on there or are you leaving the income and assets/savings off of the form?

I think we are leaving it off, because the more we list the more we have to prove 😕 I don't know how willing his bank would be to get the signed, officer letter the form asks for.

i am torn though. I have the form all filled out except those spaces lol

If your income is enough, you should not have to provide any other financials/assets/bank account information. That is the guidance I got from an immigration lawyer. Hopefully she is a good lawyer 🙂

I've been doing some research and found that the instructions for the I-864 clearly state that if income is over the threshold that one does not need to provide assets . Since the I-864 is the enforceable document filed with the AOS package, I would say it is reasonable to assume that you are correct and only income would need listed/proven at the I-134 stage as well :) image.thumb.png.16bee94ba0095157af9c2a1b9a6a7940.png
