Hello everyone,

 

My aunt has been approved by the NVC as of 03/08/2023. My aunt is in Ecuador and is supposed to have her interview at the Consulate in Guayaquil. My question is, from when you were approved, how long did it take to have the interview? My mom applied originally back 12 years ago and were finally approve 3/8/2023. My mom is a US Citizen and has been for over 20 years now. Please help me have hope and give me recent timelines please!! Thank you guys in advance.

So your Mom petitioned your aunt 12 years ago? If so, at least another decade. She needs to keep an eye on the Visa Bulletin to see when her Priority Date becomes current, she can’t be scheduled for an interview until it is.

Have you checked the visa bulletin?   For 4th preference family visas, the petition approval time isn’t relevant to the visa availability, since they are numerically limited.   She probably has another 10-15 years to go.
