Do US Consulates keep all emails in file?

emails sent to embassy usually get genertic response from a computer 

like asking about how long do i wait for interview?  u will get "when your name comes up in the queue" or similar response

these do not even get printed out 

 

emails that hold a word that triggers the system like  "drug use of any kind  or saying a bene is criminal or has criminal intent or is terrorist will be looked at by a CO and could mean an investigation 

these could be kept in the file
