Hubby passed his interview and exam today! They said his oath ceremony will be in 2 - 3 weeks.

He showed up an hour early just in case, and they took him in early. Said it took about 10 minutes from check-in to the end of the interview, and the interview and exam itself only took about 5 minutes. He answered 6 questions correctly in a row so they didn't bother asking the other 4 questions. And his written exam was writing "We owe taxes." That was it.

Wishing everyone else the best of luck for a smooth and easy interview/exam and that those of you who still don't have an interview date get one very soon!

Interview completed successfully. I passed the first 6 questions so did not get asked the last 4. The written test was easy as well. Straightforward interview. It took me 15 minutes at most. The funny thing is the ceremony room was closed for the entire week. As the result, the USCIS interviewer offered me to take the oath in the office right after the interview, which I did. I got the certification maybe like 10 minutes after. Overall, very surreal experience but I am glad that it is now completed. Good luck to everyone out there still.

And now both my parents are done with their immigration journey. My August filer parent just had their oath today at the Irving field office. Short and sweet, quite unceremonious but it was smooth and they are glad to be done! All the best to anyone still in the middle of their journey 🇺🇸

Congratulations!! Was there an option of same day oath at the time of interview? My interview is on Dec 5 at 10am and I am wondering if they allow same day oath in Irving at the time of interview. Thanks.0

I have heard that Irving occasionally does same day oath but it was not the case for any of my parents. One had their oath scheduled one week later at the Plano Events Center. The other had their oath scheduled just over two weeks later in Irving, same office where they had their interview. The oath ceremony in the Irving field office was much faster than the one in Plano, but no guest is allowed inside the Irving building. In Plano you can bring your family and friends inside.
Hope this helps!

I received a message on Nov 22 evening “We have taken an action on your case.” but no new update seen in my account status or under documents. Some internal update it seems.
