DCF in Guangzhou China Questions (Split)

I’m going through a similar case as you in the china Guangzhou site.

6/24/24 made request for DCF.

7/3/24 got response to answer 3 questions below:

• Please explain the reason you would like to file directly with the Consulate and are unable to file directly with USCIS in the United States.
• Have you ever filed an I-130 for your beneficiary with USCIS?
• Please confirm that both you and the beneficiary are currently present in China, and will be able to remain in China for the duration of the immigrant visa petition filing and immigrant visa application process.

Answered same day, but since then radio silence.  It’s now 7/22/24. I have sent several emails to see if the mail somehow went to spam, to no avail so far.  It’s definitely passed 7 business days.

 

I’m not sure what to do now.  At wits end because we actually have 2 kids which one of us will have to be taking care of without the other parent if we go the normal I-130 route… anyone get thru this process recently?

To clarify my situation, I have been working as a US citizen expat in Beijing for over 5 years. I met my wife, a Chinese National early on, got married and have 2 kids.  Now my job is asking me to move back to the US but my wife cannot come with me because she doesn’t have a green card.  My kids however do have US citizenship. I see DCF is really meant for this purpose, but the Guangzhou consulate only has an email address and hasn’t responded to my answers to their questions.  It’s been 3 weeks now.  How much longer should I wait?

Update. I tried with another email address 8/5 and got a reply today 8/12 for a scheduled appt 8/27 for I-130.
