Hello -

I am a naturalized US Citizen who filed for a GC for my brother in 2018. At the time of filing, he was an Indian citizen. Since then, he has obtained Australian citizenship (relinquishing his Indian citizenship). My questions are:

  1. What is the process to reflect his new nationality (and change of address) with USCIS?
  2. Will an Australian citizen help increase the processing time? Or is it still based on country of birth?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Paul

Thank you. @powerpuff and @Timona

Do you happen to know how to let USCIS know of the change of his address and nationality?

Thanks,

Paul

I don’t think there’s a need or a requirement to update USCIS. He can update once his case gets to NVC in however many years that would be and he can update everything there.
