Visa K1 interview. Original documents question. Argentina embassy.

Greetings, everybody.

This is my first post here, but a lurker since I started the petition back in Nov 2023. The embassy requires the original documents for both my birth and police certifications. However, the government sent me said documents as PDFs, digitally signed. Can I just print these out? Unfortunately, I don't have access to the CEAC to upload my documents as they never sent me the invoice number to complete the registration process. I sent them a public inquiry as per requested but I haven't gotten an answer yet. I asked the embassy directly through their email address but they didn't provide me a concrete answer either. They said the pdf would do but they never specified how it should be presented. The interview is this upcoming Tuesday and I am extremely nervous!

Thanks in advance!

for the K-1 visa you don't upload any documents, everything is brought with you to the interview.

so printing what the government sent you and bringing it with you to the interview should be fine.

I would print at least 2 copies of each.

i would also print out a copy of the email that said the pdf would be fine, so you have some kind of written proof that you were told it was fine.

Thank you for your reply. That's reassuring. I will print the emails in which the documents were attached. The information online is chaotic and I thought I needed to upload these documents to the CEAC. But if it doesn't apply to the K-1, that's a relief.

Once again, I appreciate the help.

there are some visa types were you do upload documents to the CEAC, the K-1 is just not one of them

no problem, good luck on your interview!

On the same topic. My fiance gave me a copy of her divorce certificate. It's a printed copy of the scanned document. I've heard they want an original one, with wet signature/seal. Is this correct? She'll have to send the original as it was handed to her back in the USA?

I can't edit my post. But does this extend to the I-134? Do I need the OG signed by my fiance and sponsor? My fiance sent me the wrong affidavit (I-864). I had to re-schedule the interview from the 23th of July to the 6th of August.

Thanks everybody for being so helpful! Also, I'm sorry for bumping this thread once again. One last question: My fianceé is divorced. Do I need to bring both the original marriage certificate AND the divorce one or just the divorce one?

Thanks in advance!
