Received this email on 06.27.2024 - F4 waiting since 2009 - status current - anyone has the same status?

This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 13-Jan-2022.  NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required.  We appreciate your patience.

Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General.  We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.

Important: The applicant should not make any permanent financial commitments until they have received their immigrant visa. This includes activities such as:
-       Selling a house, car or property,
-       Resigning from a job, or;
-       Making other travel arrangements.

I’m confused, the DQ date given above is 2022 but then you say 2009 - which is correct? And what’s your PD date?

Applied since 2007. F4 (siblings) that's why it took so long. PD is 31st July 2007. DQ at 2022.

Ok so your PD is current, now as the email says it's just a case of waiting for an interview to be set. I've no idea how long the wait is in T&T, other consulates can be as quick as 3 months to get an IL, or as long as 2 years +. If you search the forum for other cases at the same consulate it should give you some idea of the wait there.

Thanks for the response ..... was not seeing any similar cases in T&T that's waiting on an interview like myself was hoping someone might have some sort of idea. Guess I would just wait and see. Thanks for responding.

Probably not many with such a small country, but that may mean there's also not much of a wait - fingers crossed for you, hope you are reunited with your sister/brother soon.

I received the same email today. Can this email be received if the priority date is not current? I thought this is the final email after DQ and PD is current. Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Yes, it can, because you can be DQ'ed well before your PD is current. You can start the NVC process when your date is current on Table B of the Visa Bulletin, but there's still no visa available to you until it's current on Table A. 

 

What is your PD and which category? Please do fill in your timeline.

@appleblossom i already received a DQ notification in July. After that, I requested USCIS to recapture an earlier priority date through NVC, and the earlier PD has been recaptured, which makes me current. Then I received this email today after sending several inquiries to NVC to apply my earlier PD to my case. I thought the message indicated that that I am now eligible for a visa.

 

My PD is Dec 2021 and my category is EB2

OK, so yes you are eligible for a visa if your PD is current. I must be misunderstanding your question then, can you clarify?
