Police Certificate

I filed for IR1 for my husband who happens to live in Quezon City all his life. I was gathering all the paperwork needed for the DS230 when I noticed that his police certificate did not have his thumb print and signature below his picture on the right hand side.

Has anyone experienced this? What are the key things we need to know or see when we are required to submit NBI and Police clearances (certificates)? How can we fix this? Luckily, my husband has the receipt still.

Thank you po!

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Philippines
Timeline

When I got my NBI clearance, I noticed when i got home that I also didn't have my thumbprint there. So what I did was buy a stamp pad and put my thumbprint in my clearance before I submitted them at the embassy on my interview. I didn't have any problem.

Thanks for the reply C&M14... my husband was so upset since he remembered having that ink on his thumb, which don't easily come off. :( Could it be intentional?

Before issuance of the Certificates, applicants will have their fingers printed for the records. When the Certificates/Clearances are released, they should have to go back to the "stamp pad" area to place their "thumb mark print" on the certrificates. People there sometimes would not tell the applicants but they should. Although that is not a problem, just tell him to buy a black ink stamp pad and put his thumb print on the certificates.
