Am I the only one who went long periods of time without seeing my SO and didn't really suffer much? Our longest period apart was a year and a half - after that we decided it would probably be a good idea to get together again to see if we still liked each other before he came over.

Longest I went without seeing my husband was 9.5 months and it sucked. Looking back on all of it I wish I woulda filed CR1 and waited the extra couple months. Man what I wouldn't do for a couple hours privacy now. I love my husband to death and appreciate that he's here but sheesh I'm NEVER alone. I like my alone time.

Enjoy this alone time ladies.

So true...Alone time is very important - especially if you live in a studio apt. - I hate it but that's all that I have right now. I wish we could move my husband has no idea what he wants in life and who know what will happen in few months...

I was a LOT sadder coming back from Egypt the first time than I am this time. I think it is due to the intense heat over there. I love the guy BUT...............

Anyway maybe it's because this time around the interview is done and we're just waiting, like we're supposed to. There's no anticipation of will we even have a chance at getting to the interview stage. Plus my life is pretty full. I think if I didn't have kids it would be more painful but they take up a lot of my time.

Isn't it funny that we are in immigration hell for well over a year, dying to be together, and when they get here we want our alone time? lol Like my husband keeps reminding me...women are crazy! I do resemble that remark.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

It is true keeping busy, does ease up on the hardship of the wait. But the wat does effect different people in different ways. I know for myself the wait was easy in the beginning, since we both had issues that stopped us from being together. But once that commitment was made to marry ... we just became insane with the wait. LOL

Shaun & I talk everyday...as in EVERYDAY. Sometimes we talk for only 10 minutes before I go to work or before he goes to work.Sometimes we talk for hours and hours (starting a sedentary lifestyle?) We were able to find ways to bridge the 13 hour gap between our countries. Fortunately I have an internet connection at home. If internet wont work...we send each other sms (i bought him an international roaming sim). Sometimes we ran out of topic because we talk to each other daily for the past nine (9) months. Funny when we met that we (computer talked). I was mad at him about something and i said..i will send u an email...i'll tell u why i was mad..hehehe. We did not talk online for 2 weeks - that was when he came to visit me and now that he is back in his country we continue our daily talks - online. Yes..waiting is terrible but we can make a lot of things while waiting. Besides the adventure does not only happen when u reach the destination...It happens in the Journey! Good luck to all of us!
