Forgot green card in the US

Hello I travelled from US to visit Morocco and I forgot my green card in the US I'm currently in Morocco. What to do in this case to go back to US?

Is it safe to be sent by mail?. It's the easy option for me

Depends on the carrier. For important documents I always use DHL and pay for faster shipping.

I agree with this option,  will be easier and safer.

Do u trust Moroc mail service?

a package i sent in October didn't get there till April (6 months later)

and a card i sent to family there for a death still has not been seen (years later)

on top of those who would steal a green card if presented an opportunity to do so

 

but this pops up when i search USCIS sites for traveling with green card

Permanent Resident Cards (commonly known as “Green Cards”) can only be issued or replaced in the United States and cannot be obtained overseas.

 

If you lose your Green Card or reentry permit or it is stolen or destroyed while you are abroad, you may need to file a Form I-131A, Application for Travel Document (Carrier Documentation). This carrier documentation will allow an airline or other transportation carrier to board a lawful permanent resident bound for the United States without the carrier being penalized. For more information, please see the Form I-131A, Application for Travel Document (Carrier Documentation) page.

Only you can decide how much you’re willing to risk it, but in most cases I would be very wary of sending a document like that internationally.

So true, last card I sent was a New Years card to my inlaws, mailed it mid December, they got it on the day Ramadan ended.   

Another I sent took nearly 6 months.

If you want to take the risk of mailing it, I highly recommend FedEx. My husband recently mailed an envelope from the US (Illinois) to Morocco (Casablanca) and it arrived in Morocco in just under 3 days. He also was able to select the option for the recipient to pick up the package directly at the Casablanca FedEx office, reducing the risk of it getting lost in the unpredictable Moroccan mail system. It is expensive, but worth it imo.

I guess if you have the money, you could book a flight to Canada or Mexico and have someone you trust physically bring you the card
