Still waiting

So, it's coming up on 3 years in Oct. since our original filing.

We were DQ'd finally in Dec 2023 after 2 years. NVC said interviews are typically scheduled within 90 days.

Almost 8 months in and still waiting for that interview appointment. 

(We are in Philippines)

We reached out to NVC and got the standard response.

Reached out to Embassy in Manila.

They opened a case, requested more information (same info I included in the first email). They responded the same day saying the case was at NVC and  the case was now closed😂.

Funny, but it's not.

Just wanted to vent to those who understand...

Philippines has a huge backlog of CR1/IR1 cases. Last I read they issued ILs for those DQ’d up until August 22, 2023. There’s a whole thread in the Philippines sub forum:

No filed I 130 in Oct 2021

Dq'd December 2023 so a 2 year wait between filing and becoming DQ'd.

Now 8 months waiting for interview appointment.  This is in Philippines,  I would suspect Germany is faster?

Thanks Powerpuff, doesn't make me feel any better😂 just confirms my frustration, I mean #######. And the head of Visa section was on Facebook bragging about how they are back to pre pandemic levels of processing visas.

Usually I just push it down, but today it's bubbling up to the top!!

Are you sure you don’t mean for the I-130? That’s not country specific, it’s the same for everybody. The OP is referring to the wait for an interview once DQ’ed, and Germany would be one of the fastest places for that, shouldn’t be anywhere near a year. Other countries are 2yrs+ just for that.

In Germany the timeline is after NAO 2 still 6 too 8  months at least…..but if you struggle with medical and interview in Frankfurt it easily almost a year…….in the meantime from filing I 130 to the visa in the passport it’s 2 years ……your Greencard you get in the US 🙇🏻🤷🏻‍♂️😮‍💨

Current wait times from your NOA2 to interview are around a year.  This isn't even limited to the Philippines.  Use timeline search here to confirm.  Your wait times are, sadly, "normal."

If you filled in your own timeline, not only will we better understand what stage you are in, you will receive estimated approval dates (based on forum data), and also you help give everyone else a more accurate picture.

Yes, if you look at worst case scenario it may be. But I’m a glass half full person and wouldn’t worry about medical issues and a delay unless it actually happened. No point in worrying about what might be!
 

So Germany is (for a normal application with no issues) one of the fast consulates around. It can be 4-5 years for people from places like Islamabad or Lagos.

Ouch, that doesn't go down good. We have just begun some home renovation here, decided to stop waiting and get on with life. Happens when it happens I guess.
