Please can someone clarify as Emma and agent could not. Consular i-130

My husband usc lawyer submitted mine and 2 children's i-130s online. It's been a bit frustrating as there's no data to keep an eye on things as we have IOE9... as opposed to the usual IOE09... what I have noticed is they appear to be in different blocks IOE9103 IOE9095 IOE9184. We tried to ask Emma and then the online agent if our cases are linked and if not can we link them. They were submitted together. They said its up go the field office and then cut us off. Now I'm worried it could be months between cases, or make tge next part with nvc and interviews ect even harder. Is there a way we link these? I obviously won't leave my children and similarly couldn't just pack them off on a pane without me. Will we ve approved together or will it be months apart?

The cases are not linked at this time.  They are separate cases. 

The proper procedure will be to:

1.  Hold each case at NVC until they are all there. 

2. After they are ALL there, submit documents and pay fees for all the cases. 

3. Then contact NVC and the consulate to ask for them to be linked and interviewed together.

Field offices are, in no way, relevant to immigrant visas.

IOE9 means that the cases were submitted electronically.  These case numbers are randomized so it is not valid to compare "blocks".  IOE09 means the case was submitted on paper and scanned for electronic processing.  These case numbers are sequential in blocks presumably ordered by week number, and therefore you could maybe glean a little indirect information by comparing one case's progress to others in the same block.

 

It sounds as if your husbands lawyer summited the case electronically which was probably the best way to do it, but yielded case numbers that are randomized so you cannot compare them by "blocks".
