Questions related to NVC

After 8 months of waiting we got our nao2. I just had a few general questions:

I am waiting on an email from NVC with our case number so she can start the ds 160 and medical (for reference we got approved two weeks ago). Does anyone know what email address is going to send the message (my email is cluttered and I'm trying to discover what I need to search).

Second question: any guesses on wait times for embassy interviews? She is a Filipina in luzon.

Did you submit an inquiry to the NVC? if not chances are you won't get an email from them. From my experience they do not use the information on the e-notification form, only USCIS uses that to notify people of approved cases. (I assume this is what you're referring to regarding your email)

The NVC will/should send a physical letter to the foreign fiance.

If you only just got the approval notice from USCIS, it is taking a while for the NVC to process cases. So it will more than likely be sitting with them for at the very least a month. Unfortunately, despite getting your NOA2 you still a few months of waiting. And that doesn't include the waiting for the embassy, which varies a lot between countries.

Also should not plan on scheduling the medical until your case is at the embassy and the foreign fiance has received notice from the embassy that they have your petition and are ready for you to proceed with the next steps.

You can submit an inquiry to the NVC after 30 days/4 weeks to see if they have processed your case and get your case number.

But another user here did that and were told to contact the NVC again after 60 days if they had not heard anything yet.

The NVC is more than likely very backed up with cases since USCIS has been processing cases much faster.

I chat with a few that are going through interviews right now.  There were a few weeks when nobody could get an interview, but it seems to be back to normal now.  Expect 2-4 weeks to obtain an interview appointment, with the interview itself being 2-4 weeks after you find one.  Decide now how much lead time you need for medical and travel so that when you do see an interview date, you can grab it instead of trying to figure it out then.  The slots fill up fast.

Check out nvc.state.gov/timeframes for an indication of when they're going to touch your case. When the date received is earlier than the date they're currently working on, you can send an inquiry.

(I mean, you can send an inquiry before that, but it probably won't produce any meaningful results)

Reading is what? Fun-da-men-tal!

The NVC was working on roughly 11 days worth of cases in one week, currently, it looks like they only did 5 last week. :( Mine should be in the 06/25 batch, and my NOA2 was 06/10 so it is looking like the 60 days might become the new normal.

It sucks, because USCIS has gotten so much faster just to have another portion struggle. I know I am being impatient but this political climate is worrying and I just want everyone to be with their significant other/family members as quickly as possible.

I just got my email! It came from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov and they attached a copy of the letter that was most likely physically sent to my fiance :)

This is 5 weeks after NOA2 and 3 weeks after myUSCIS says they sent it to the NVC.
