I-824- confusion

Hello friends. My I-130 and I-129 were approved last week. I am pursuing the K-3 so i was under the impression that the only form I have to fill out was the I-134. However, someone told me that even though I will be doing AOS once my husband comes here on K-3 I still need to do I-824 or otherwise they won't forward even my approved I-129 to NVC. Please someone who knows more concrete information help with confusion. THANKS.

I-129 is a petition for a foreign worker. Is that really the form you filed?

I-129 is for Temporary Nonimmigrant worker (H2B Visa)

I-129F is K3 , the 2nd part of the I-130

The I-824 is only used to either tell USCIS to move the I-130 on to NVC if they held it pending the K-3 petition in cases where you may want to continue pursuing both visa types (CR-1, and K-3)

Or the I-824 is used to request a replacement Aproval notice from your I-130 if for some reason it were lost. A copy of the I-130 NOA2 approval is usually required to be included with the I-485 when you adjust status from a K-3 in the USA.

"Someone" is wrong. The I-824 is needed to get your I-130 moving again after approval. If you decision is to follow the K3 route, you don't need the I-824. The I-129F (not I-129) will be forwarded to NVC without further input from you.

I meant the I-129F... I thought it went without saying since i mentioned the I-130.

anyway, thanks.. so the only form I guess i have to fill out is the I-134 for the K-3. thanks again.
