Hi guys! My fiancé, the petitioner has Jr in his birth certificate but his passport and drivers license omit his suffix, what do we have to do or put in the I-129F form? Do we use the JR next to his last name and go with what's written on his birthday certificate?

appreciate all of your answers.

thank you 😊

I may not be correct .. others will chime in ..

The application  must use the name as recorded on the birth certificate. “Other names used “ would be where you would add in the other ways in which his name is recorded

Thank you so much 🥹 it was stressful but your comment made it easy. So on the other names I'll put in his name without the JR right? Thanks!

It would be JR after the family name /surname

if he ever writes it as the II (second )  also include that on other names

like smith,  jr,  john

or

smith II,  john

Thank you 🥹 also we wanted to capitalize everything and handwritten. For example AYALA JR without the commas, that should be fine too right?

Don’t overthink it, just write exactly what is in the birth certificate and if the form says to PRINT your answers then do that
