After CR1 Interview (Montreal, early June) - it’s been 17 business Days and no change to status. Anyone else in the same pool?

I interview at Montreal on June 11 but have not received any update to status. I was verbally approved by interviewer. Passport was kept and was stated I would get it back in 10 business days.

On CEAC, it still states “Appointment” and my updated DS260 says my file was updated on June 17. But nothing new other the verbiage of setting up an interview time etc etc

anyone in the same boat for waiting for their passports/status change?

Diplomatic missions abroad are closed for a selection of local and US holidays.  Since your interview, there's been Juneteenth, Fête nationale du Québec, Canada Day, and now Independence Day...  Not sure if they worked any of those, but it's going to delay the final approval for sure.  I would wait another week before sending an inquiry.

Thank you for letting me know of some of the other factors that could delay the process.

We sent additional docs for 221g along with passport, as requested back on April 22. They’ve had the passport for 3 months. Last update was June 11 (solicited by our email). We’ve had no movement.

and just as I was reading this post, they sent me a tracking number by email and updated the "status" section on the ais.usvisa-info.com website with the tracking number as well. The Current Status still says "Appointment" though lol

Congrats. We’re starting to think there’s a problem now. But who knows at this point.
