You mean he interview was on october 19th it it will be on november 19?

Yea.  That was a typo. 😆 But still time to edit the post so I fixed it.  November 19 is the interview.  November 19 seems like a big day for VJ member N-400 interviews.  7 different VJ members are listing N-400 interview on that date.

Hi all, can they ask for a hard copy of SSN card during the interview ?

I see its not on the list of "must bring documents". Asking just to make sure, because I lost mine. I do not have a hard card.

No I only bring my passport, driver's license and my green card. That was all that was asked of me. That said, I applied following the 5 years rule and have my account and tax transcript uploaded online

I never heard of SS card being asked for.

Marital evidence, tax transcripts, passports, docs issued by USCIS - yes those may be required. SS card - no.

I had my interview today and just wanted to share my experience with everyone.

My interview was scheduled for 8:15. At about 8:30 the officer called me in for the interview. My husband and I were both allowed to be present.

The officer did the civics and English test first which I passed. She then reviewed my application to make sure all the information was accurate. I realized I had forgotten to mention one of my jobs, but she simply made a note of it. She also added a couple of dates since I had traveled abroad twice since submitting my application.

Some questions she asked were if my husband and I want to have kids, if we plan to buy a house, if we owe any taxes and at the end, she asked why I want to become a US citizen.

If you interview in Denver: they have same-day naturalization available daily till the election!!!

I was so happy when she told me I could naturalize the same day, the ceremony was at 10 AM so I only had to wait one hour for it. They are doing same-day ceremonies till the election so people can go ahead and vote. The ceremony was small but beautiful.

As soon as we left, I went ahead and registered to vote, and I also went to USPS and applied for my passport and passport card.

Overall the interview vibe was relaxed, the officer joked a few times and we had a lot of casual conversation. This is by far the easiest interview I had in my entire immigration journey.

How great! Congratulations!

Hello all, I am currently at “actively reviewing” for 97 days and noticed something new in my API request.

suddenly today my API response got a new field called “applicant name”, which wasn’t there until this morning when I refreshed. However, my “updatedAt” timestamp hasn’t changed since last time (09/27). Could someone confirm that they have this new field too?

Hmm, my wifes has that now too.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't there before.   Not sure what that means.   Since she got her appointment her  "updatedAtTimestamp" has actually updated a couple of times when there was no outwardly visible movement.

Just a quick update for those with Chicago as their field office. I had my interview today and my status changed to oath ceremony will be scheduled within 3 hours.

I have a great experience at the Chicago field office. Everyone was super nice and friendly, especially their security. I went from super nervous to just relaxed by the time I went to the waiting area. The wait wasn't long. I had my appointment at 1.15pm and I was called in at 1.20pm.

Those of you that intends to change your name needs to practice your new signature. They'll need you to sign on the horrible touch pad that barely worked for your Naturalization certificate.  I was caught off guard with that the proceed to struggle with the stylus for close to 5 mins. I think that's the most difficult part of my whole interview.

@Vega007 congrats!! Thats is awesome. I am also in Chicago and my interview of November 26. Do you mind letting me know how long after the interview your oath was scheduled for? I know you said it chsanged status but did you already have your oath? Thanks!

I contacted a live agent today: The following was the inquiry response

"Your local office is West Palm Beach. Your interview has been requested, not yet scheduled".

He only said stuff that I already know.
