GC : obtwined 2000 to 2022 temp based on marrage

Temp GC - extended for 4 yrs how ? Normally this extension comes when you apply for 751 on what basis they extended . Thats the question .regarding the rest of question . 751 is mandatory u have to establish tge marrage for GC thats the whole pirpose of temp GC marrage based GC is 2 step process its not yet conplete of ur 751 is not approved .

Can you apply fpr n400 yes temp or not temp you are still perm resident so you qualify theoretically

But also they cant and wont process or approve without 751 your marrage based GC is not conokete without it

And u have to apply 90 days beforr expiring of temp GC yes but you say its extended for 4 yrs so its not yet expired .

As i see the missing and important point here is how and why they extended 4 yrs without pending 751

In early 2023 USCIS Extends Green Card Validity for Conditional Permanent Residents with a Pending Form I-751 or Form I-829. The problem was I never filled the I751 because I was under the impression I had to wait for the 90 days. Now I'm just concerned I should have filled before the N400, or if I can even file it now.

Well you can fike as long as ur temp gc is valid and 2 yr period is past. You are good to go dont worry. Reason they give 90 day before is so that u donr go out of status ans they give autimatic extension after u apply

1. Main point is u have to apply 751 no choice.

2. Dont qorry ur GC is still valid ans u can apply and ul geg anothet extension and ul be safe .

3. N400 cant be approved without 751 approval

Small update: I shook my husband out of bed since I was freaking out and told him we forgot to file a form. We went to the office and opened all the boxes with documents and notices from USCIS, and surprise we have the notice for the I-751 form 😅. The problem was whenever I log into our USCIS account all the forms we ever filled show up, except the 751 so I think I had a lapse of memory.

I just used USCIS Case Status Online using the receipt number from that file, and it only mentioned the biometrics. "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken". No pending or any other update. And the case still won't appear on my profile. 🤷‍♀️

All done, same day oath at the Brooklyn field office (in Manhattan), very pleasant officers, virtually no wait, tears were shed.

Congratulations! Do you mind sharing how the interview went, what was asked, what you took with you etc? I hope you’re celebrating!

Gladly, but there is not a ton to share.

This was the Brooklyn field office, which is co-located with other New York Field Offices at the Federal Building. There were no lines on a Saturday, but also most entrances were closed (Worth Street side was open), which took a few minutes to figure out.

Inside it was deserted, with the Brooklyn waiting area on the 8th floor mostly empty. I went in business casual, most people were just casually dressed.
After a five minute wait, the officer called my number and we proceeded to their office. They did not ask for any documents other than passport and green card. We went through the civics and language test, then through my application. I had filed by mail under the five year rule, so the spouse section had been left blank - but the officer asked the questions to complete it. We then corrected a few transcription errors introduced by the mail process -  wouldn't do that again - but this was all very friendly and straightforward. Signed the application and the oath, then the officer advised me that they were having an oath ceremony at 1PM (we had started around 12:35) and that I would be invited to join if I so desired. I affirmed this, even though they explained there would be no way to get my family into the closed building on a Saturday.

The ceremony itself was very low key, but beautiful - people from a multitude of backgrounds tearfully completing their immigration journey to mutual ovations, a very friendly officer sharing advice about voter registration, Social Security and passport applications before leading the oath. All together it took just under 90 minutes for me, now off to a nice dinner with my spouse to celebrate :).

Thanks for taking the time to detail your experience. What an accomplishment! Congratulations, again!

filed on 7/16 and still waiting for that interview notice... is that normal or am i worrying for no reason lol

That is very much normal.  We have been seeing some cases get scheduled for interviews very quickly lately but they remain the exceptions.  It's also very dependent an your local office's workload.  Even in today's super fast N400 environment 4 months would still be extremely fast and 6 months would still be quite normal.
