I just came here today to ask this question, thanks. I got notice the USCIS was done 30 May 2024, on to the NVC. So it could be 1-3 months there?? Are you notified by email?

What about just getting that NVC ‘receipt number’? With that one can complete the DS-160?

I was hoping the NVC moves faster than the USCIS.

if you havent heard from the nvc yet with your case number (been over 30 days) you can submit an inquiry to them to get the case number.

they could have it processed but havent sent it to the embassy yet

Same here, took a total of 17 weeks (4 months, approx 120 days) and an additional NOA2 issued to us.  But it finally went today.

We are currently at this stage, what happens next? Did they give you your appointment date or did you have to schedule it?

Entirely depends on your embassy, how they handle it.

Take a moment to fill out your timeline, and maybe someone who used the same embassy can assist you with that.

Honestly the best way to help everyone is to fill out your timelines on your profile.

You can also look at the portal for your country and read embassy reviews to help you ascertain next steps 🙂
