Hi,

I have have  autism/ADHD/depression. The ADHD and depression is medicated

The appointment confirmation email I received from VisaMedicals says

"If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc. (this includes conditions such as depression, anxiety, learning difficulties and hypertension)."

What exactly do I ask the GP receptionist for? They were able to print off my vaccine records without a problem, but there's no way I can get a GP appointment in this time. Is there a specific thing to ask for?

Do you have a Specialist?

I have seen quite a few cases involving the London Consulate with similar issues, self harm etc.

The Doctor will review your case and let you know the additional information they need.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hi!

I don't unfortunately. The diagnosis for these was via CAMHS which automatically discharges people once they turn 18 (several years ago now!).

I went to the GP and asked for a Patient Care Summary which included my ADHD/autism but no mention of depression for some reason, however it included the SSRI I take so hopefully that'll be fine.

I've never been sectioned or self harmed or been a danger to anyone else so hopefully won't have too much difficulty. I'll update this post once I'm back.

Now all I need to do is remember to go to the passport photo booth in London Waterloo station on the day and get some passport size photos (I only have the US 2x2 photos right now and they want UK size!)

Don’t forget you’ll need a COVID jab to get medically cleared. Visa Medicals don’t administer these sadly. You can do it after the fact and then send on the evidence via email if this works better for your schedule.

Can your GP write a letter about your diagnosis and treatment? We had to get that for my daughter who was on anti-depressants and had a history of anxiety and self harm. The all important wording that's needed is that you are 'not a danger to yourself or others'.

Just be honest and you will be fine.

Will your criminal certificate show any interaction with the police, particularly in respect of drugs/alcohol/self harm?

Of all my documents that was the one that took longest to arrive. Visa Medicals told me I could send it later. Personally, I would not recommend do that.
