Did anyone else just get a really long estimate after the original estimate?

I've posted my experience in a few threads here but I'm curious to see if anyone else has experienced this recently. My PD was May 27th 2023 and originally was for 10 months. After the 10 months with no approval it switched to "taking longer to process". Yesterday my case disappeared from the site even after logging in and I had to check that it was still there by using my receipt number and their Case Status checker. It was still pending so I waited. Today I logged in this morning and my case is there again like normal but now it's saying 10 months. I logout and then check a few hours later it says 11 months. What gives?

I know people have been telling me it's inaccurate but it's just so strange how my case "disappeared" for a day and then comes back with an 11 month wait time. I've already waited 13 months and I'm prepared to wait another few months but 11 more months is crazy.

Has anyone else experienced this recently?

Yes, lots of people have, see the thread below yours. It's utterly useless so don't pay any attention to it or worry about it at all, best to just ignore it.

Good luck.

Thank you! I actually did respond in that threat I just found it weird how my case "disappeared" for a day and came back with that estimate and I wasn't sure if other people had that same experience of the case "disappearing" for a period of time.

Ours has more than once. Waiting since aug 2022. It’s happened a few times. Our latest went from 3months to 11 after it disappeared for a day.

Your case didn't disappear. USCIS often goes website maintenance on the weekends.

Yeah I figured it didn't actually disappear in their system but it just didn't let me view the case at all. It's actually doing the same thing today as well.

Most of the times, case status is available here: https://egov.uscis.gov/,  even when your status in account has issues showing.
