I have a full time job and a part time job and listed the full time job on the I-134, but other than getting a letter from my part time employer along with copies of my recent paystubs, does anyone know if there is another form I need to fill out? We haven't gotten our NOA2 yet, but thought I'd get everything in order for the next phase.

Also, in looking at the step-by-step guide, it says to send my fiance a copy of the I-129f packet I made for him along with all originals of documentary proof that I submitted with the I-129f for his interview at the embassy..which documentary proof originals do I need to send?

Thanks for your help in advance :)

If you had that part time job last year, you will include copies of the W2 and/or 1099 from that job with the copy of 1040.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.
  • Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  • Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

My income was well above 125% povertyline so I did not include any asset data.

u2rsobad,

Why did you obtain documentation supporting the part-time job but leave it off of the I-134?

You are questioning the meaning of the word "all" in "all originals of documentary proof"? Good for you. Send the originals (which may actually be certified copies) of 'official' documents such as birth certificates, divorce certificates, and the like.

I just filled out the I-134 today and haven't had it notarized yet..will wait till I get the NOA2 I guess so the dates are relatively close; just trying to get as many things together as possible to save time later. I'm not intentionally leaving off the part-time jobs (I actually have 2) from the I-134, but there's no place to list them. So, I was wondering if I just needed to get letters and paystubs. One of the part time jobs I started last year in Oct. as seasonal help and it continued. The other part time job officially started in June 2007 with Dept of Homeland Sec. , but I applied in Jan..as with this K1 waiting game, it was the same for my new DHS job. The wheels of gov't aren't famous for turning too quickly :)

Thanks for your info on the "all original" docs. I wasn't sure if I needed to send my only original copies of my birth cert. & previous divorce papers to him.

u2rsobad,

Most consulates ask for either 1 or 3 years of tax returns - and perhaps other financial documentation as well - independent of I-134. See form DS-2000 (formerly OF-167) for guidance on meeting the public charge provisions of the law.

Copies of the returns or tax transcripts, either one.

Most consulates treat the I-134 like a mini I-864, and prefer the same financial evidence that is required by the I-864, you may want to study the I-864's instructions.

From the embassy in Tokyo:

To substantiate the information regarding income and resources the sponsor should attached two or more of the following items to the affidavit:
  • Notarized copies of his or her latest federal income tax return (Need not be notarized if you use tax transcripts)
  • Statement from his/her employer showing salary and the length and permanency of employment
  • Statement from an officer of a bank regarding his/her account, the date the account was opened and the present balance
  • Any other evidence adequate to establish financial ability to carry out his/her undertaking toward the applicant for what might be an indefinite period of time (Pay Stubs)

You can get them by calling IRS, and requesting the simple transcripts, they can fax or mail them to you.
