certificate I did not get my Certificate of Naturalization back?

I know it comes in two separate mails. 
 

I received my U.S Passport in the mail yesterday. 
 

When should I expect to receive CoN?

 

Will there be another tracking # or notification?

In early 2023, wife received her Naturalization Certificate 7 weeks after receiving her passport.  There was no tracking.  Some people get them back faster.

Back in 2021 I received my passport on a Saturday and got my naturalization certificate the following Tuesday, so just a couple of business days apart. There's no tracking for the certificate, no emails, no messages - nothing. It just shows up in your mailbox one day, in a yellow manila envelope.

I wish the Federal government would make it easier for those that naturalize and standardize getting a passport.  In 2018 when my wife naturalized in Detroit, a rep from the passport agency came to the ceremony and told those naturalizing they could come to the passport office within 30 days and apply for a passport with no need for immediate travel.  In our case, we were planning on traveling within 3 weeks, so the day after my wife's oath ceremony (it was an afternoon ceremony so the agency was closed by the time it was over) we went to the passport office as a walk-in.  We had all the required materials (photo's, nat. cert., etc.), and the clerk made a copy of the nat. cert. and had a supervisor verify it, so my wife never had to give it up.  In the end, my wife received her passport in 3 days.

I did routine service. Does it mean it can take longer for me to get it?

No, only the passport is affected by what service you choose, the naturalization certificate is not. It can take 2 days, it can take 2 months. There's no specific timeline, it's all over the place. All everyone can do is wait.

Yes, the instructions as to how to apply for a passport are available online at travel.gov.  My point was that I found it helpful that a representative from the passport agency came to the oath ceremony for my wife and explained to the future USCs how to go about applying, and that the passport agency in Detroit would offer special processing to new citizens for 30 days including no need to give up one's naturalization certificate.  This should be standard practice at all oath ceremonies, but unfortunately it has seemed to go the other route.  I recently attended the oath ceremony for my cousins also in Detroit, and no representative from the passport agency was there, and no special services were offered.

Hard to say. My husband's certificate (crumpled) arrived a week after his passport - but the postal service delivered both items to the wrong house and let me tell you there was one angry wife on the phone getting that mess sorted out.

There is special processing for new citizens? Is that available in my area? Also not mailing in Certificate is very helpful too.
