Hi,

I met this couple that touched my heart who I would like to sponsor.

He is ukrainian but his girlfriend is from Moldova, a non-ukrainin national. She has never been to Ukraine and they met in Moldova through the refugee center.

Would she qualify to join him in case the application gets approved?

Thanks in advance!

This is not for me to decide or even suggest what these poor people will do with their lives. USCIS claims common law partners can be eligible, it is why I posted the question. I don't understand why there is a need to repost the same answer multiple times, in a derogatory way, with videos.  We're talking about people who lost everything. Read the room.

She is Moldovan living in Moldova, they met in Moldova.

What has she lost?

CCG, it's admirable that you want to help this couple.  It seems that they must marry if the woman is to be included, or if she's to have a fair shot at being included.

To clarify, they met "through" a refugee center; was she also a refugee?  If not, what did she lose?  You don't need to relay the story of their lives; folks here are trying to learn some basic details in case there's a resourceful way of getting around the "must be married to her" issue.  Can you please clarify?

She has no family and a lot of health issues, but since marriage is a must in this case,  then I can find different ways to help them out. Thank you!

I must apologize. Your statement on common law partners for U4U is indeed out there. ..and I had not looked at the site for a bit.
Everyone responding is assuming IR/ immediate relatives is constrained to the usual USCIS definition….not applicable in this case.

You should try submitting the application for them and so you will have a chance to email back and forth w support
