I-129F Initial Application

Hello! In section 54 of the I-129F form it says to give evidence of meeting withing the previous two years. I am going to submit flight itineraries along with some photos of me and my partner together within that time. Do I have to send in any other information during this time for evidence of bona fide relationship or will that come later in the interview process? I am fine either way sending it in earlier or waiting until the interview process.

Thanks!

You stated, in another post, that you are the beneficiary.  In what country will you interview?  Boarding passes and passport stamps are preferable to itineraries.

Oh, haha sorry! Yes my partner is the beneficiary but I am writing from his account as the petitioner. He would conduct his interview in Bolivia! Is a scanned in boarding pass okay?

I submitted both proof of meeting within 2 years and a bona fide relationship. I didn't want to give the caseworker any doubts, and you only get one first impression.

We submitted the below:

  • Flight receipts for all flights
  • Joint holiday receipts
  • Boarding passes and luggage tags from the different airports (luggage tags had our names on them)
  • A copy of the beneficiary's passport AND their I-94 record.
  • Photos from all the visits and the holiday we took.
    • Photos with other people (friends/family)

For the 129F you should only send in scans, per the instructions they do not promise to return any original documents.

As others have stated. Keep it slim. I only sent copies of my entry and exit stamps from my passport. Don't get better proof than that, and it meets the requirements. Maybe throw in the boarding passes scanned and printed on a sheet of paper for a little extra evidence, but that should be enough.

Most of the things that are smart to send in are already mentioned, but what may also be helpful is add something of proof of correspondence between you two, like emails and texts or logs of phonecalls and such.

I remember my fiancé and i did not bend over backwards to send in as much as possible, but we did do our best to cover the entire timeframe from meeting each other to the actual engagement and everything in between.

Just bits and pieces, dont send them the fiancé chronicles in 3 volumes ;)

As for the interview, i would just bring the same, and then proof of ongoing correspondence and meetings/pictures timed after you filed the petition :)
