i want to thank everybody for the help through my journey for getting the green card. u were really great help for me.

now after i get my greencard i want to go back home for a month and i want to ask u what i need, my passport and my green card, is that all. do i need my mariage certificate or any other papers. i kept my maden name, so i just need to buy my ticket on the name on my greencard and pasport, which is actually my maiden name.

i know i might sound idiotic, but i m really scared if i forget something and then they want let me back in usa.

so when i m coming back at the jfk airport i just need to show to the officer my pasport and my greencard. will they take my fingerprints at the entry.

thanks again for all your help. i wish luck to everybody.

Once you have your GC, you will have no problems re-entering the U.S. after travelling abroad.

I would take your GC, passport, and your marriage certificate, just to be on the safe side, but you won't have any problems whatsoever.

Have a great trip!!!

Congratulations! Your green card and passport should be all you really need, but bringing a copy of your marriage certificate would not hurt either. Have a great trip and one more huge congrats!
